Over 2 Mk8s had tyres removed and replaced and wheels swapped front to back a number of times, each time the TPMS on the dash shows just 1 tyre pressure is monitored after resetting, within a few hundred yards of driving, the system has relearnt where each sensor is and displayed the pressure.
Should give you error codes. Will need to see whether it has completely lost connection with the instrument panel cluster module or there's an error with it. The other screen, try pulling the fuses for it, waiting 5 mins and putting the fuse back. This should reset the Sync system.
I was thinking, there should be a recall on this part. Windscreen fogging up with no easy way to defrost because the blend mechanism doesn't work is a safety issue. Check for blown fuses in the BCM (under the dash on pass. side behind the glovebox) Also check for blown fuses out in the fuse block near the battery under the hood. This happens at random speeds all levels of fuel in the tank etc. Posted January 27, 2013. the litle yellow light in the middle of the dash, on the lock button is only on while the canbus system is live, the little red flashing light is the PATS Passive Anti Theft System light, or in other words, the immobiliser. whether you have an alarm or not is not dependant on the deal locking feature. o3zi1R.
