So I went to the dealer today to get an oil change and my electronic diff fluid change. It’s a 15 with a PP. wow they had never done a fluid change on the vw eletronic differential. Talk about pulling teeth the writer found the line to schedule the service. The tech came back saying the didn’t have it.

Maintenance. I have a 2017 gti and did my dsg oil and filter today using the measure and top fill method and the car drained 5.7 liters out! Not sure if thats a normal amount or if it was overfilled previously. I read it should drain between 4.5-4.7 liters. I ended up filling it back up with about 5.2 liters because I saw the dsg capacity is 5.
My 2017 VW Golf GTI 2.0 calls for oil changes at 15000 kms or 1 year. My gut feel is that the oil should be changed at least twice a year or every 7 or 8 thousand kms.
1 x Genuine VW DSG Gearbox Oil And Filter Kit (G052182A2, 02E305051C, N910845) from "Lancaster volkswagon" . at a cost of £111.92 I already own Vcds (£270) So without going any further - if you can get it done for £175 then do it as even now I have the required equipment It will still cost £112 and a couple of hours of my precious snoozing time in another 40,000 miles time.
