Hi there thanks Ok we need to have the sensor values checked first The DPF sensor has 3 wires on it these checks should be done with multiplug connected 1 wire is a 5 volt reference Feed 1 is a ground and the other is a raw vintage signal out value to the PCM Check the 5 volt reference is ok using the ground of the sensor Next Take the reading from the signal out wire using the ground of the

When a code P2455 is stored, the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected a high voltage input signal from the circuit of the diesel particulate filter (DPF) pressure sensor that has been given the designation A. This code is used only in vehicles equipped with diesel engines. DPF systems are quickly becoming the norm in diesel powered

The fix is an oil & filter change and an ECU update, they say. The service manager says it's an oversensitive sensor relating to the DPF, which reports the oil has become contaminated and is putting the DPF at risk. The ECU update is supposed to reset the parameters for the sensor. Oil drop, filter & update is free, under warranty.
This assembly is the DPFE sensor. Remove the 2 rubber hoses from the bottom of the sensor. Attach a piece of rubber hose to the forward most hole in the sensor. Now carefully take a small safety pin and stick it in behind the top wire parallel to the wire. You do NOT want to pierce the wire, only make contact inside the connector.

I own a 2012 Mondeo Mk4. It is a 2.0Tdci (140). i recently got the Engine Malfunction warning. On diagnostics it came up as a DPF regen failure. There has been no loss of power. The garage reset it and I took the car on a good motorway blast and stayed in 4th gear to keep the revs nice and high. About 2 weeks passed and the warning came back on.

I have discovered that when a code P2454 is stored, the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected a low voltage input signal from the circuit of the diesel particulate filter (DPF) pressure sensor that has been given the designation A. Only vehicles equipped with diesel engines should exhibit this code. Posted January 19, 2015. Took my car for a run with Forscan running and the DPFE reading is nearly always at 0kpa and rises occasionally to 1kpa, usually when it has risen to 1kpa the exhaust temperature is over 200º and drops to 0kpa when the temp falls below 200º. So If i am correct the sensor is reading very little difference in pressure Engine malfunction on display DPF. Mk 1 kuga. I had the car to 3 garages. The first one was my main garage for repairs and he does. me my MOT He removed and cleaned the DPF. (diesel particulate filter) Then next back to him for a engine. management software upgrade Again back to him to fit a new temperature sensor. KAisnyz.
