looking for a cheap rc car (~$50-60) but all the ones I come across dont have proportional steering. Just full left/right and center. And the ones that have full control are in the $150+ range. Any suggestions, pointers to where I could try finding such cars would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! August 29, 2012. When you compare what you get for $60 in a K989, which I also have, compared to what you get for $60 for a similar 1/28 scale car like a Team Associated SC28, it's hard not to say the WLToys doesn't beat it by almost any metric. Full proportional steering and throttle. Metal chassis, front and rear diffs. Metal wheels. LEDs in some models.
3) Your End Point Adjustment is Set Correctly. Setting your radio's end point adjustment (EPA) helps your servo and steering rack understand the finer motions of your steering. Before setting the EPA, your car needs to be on the ground at drive height. Make sure the wheels fully lock to the left and the right when setting endpoints. What makes a car “hobby grade” more than anything else is the use of “standardised” or commonly available RC electronics, motors and batteries. “Toy grade” cars these days can often have the appearance of more capable, albeit entry-level, “hobby grade” cars. E.g. proportional steering, suspension water resistance etc. 0m12I.
