tl;dr: Both games have their merits. The combat in RAGE 2 is excellent and provides far more fun and satisfaction than any fights in Far Cry 5. That said, Far Cry 5 feels like it's just better put together in terms of story, progression, and miscellaneous open-world garbage. SemperSalam.

Far Cry 6 does a much better job with its wide selection of gear, which grants you worthwhile bonuses. A certain pair of gloves might help you do a bit more damage to tagged enemies. Maybe a piece I played and finished Far Cry 3, it was an outstanding game. Beautiful locations, nice guns, awesome villains. Far Cry 4 just seems like and expanded Far Cry 3 to me. Its basically the same gunplay-wise, it just added some more weapons, but again, it still has great locations, and an awesome villain. But Far Cry 5 is different for me. Played Far cry 4 after Far cry 6 and I can say the different is staggering. - Far cry 4 looks better (not technically but visually prettier mountains and such). - Far cry 4 has more fun skill tree (Far cry 6 does not have a skill tree). Far cry 4 has animals that you hunt for skins which is actually pretty fun. Currently, the lowest price for GTA V (ps4 disc) is 5$ (second-hand but 20$ new) and Far Cry 6's is 30$ (new).
